The Archaeological Site of Asine is an ancient coastal settlement near Nafplio and Tolo in the Argolis region of Greece.

Occupied from prehistoric times through the Mycenaean, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods, the site preserves evidence of more than 3,000 years of continuous human activity. It is also mentioned by Homer in the Iliad, highlighting its importance in ancient Greek history.

Built on a rocky peninsula overlooking the sea, Asine was an important trading and maritime center connected to nearby Mycenaean kingdoms. Visitors can see remains of Hellenistic fortifications, towers, cisterns, residential areas, and other archaeological structures that reveal the site's long and complex past.

The site is especially valued for its combination of history and natural beauty, offering panoramic views of the Argolic Gulf and surrounding coastline. Excavations carried out largely by Swedish archaeologists in the 20th century uncovered layers of settlements spanning many eras, making Asine one of the most fascinating archaeological locations in the Nafplio area.
